• I am aware that AppWake is occasionally being shut down by the OS. I am working on a way to minimize this happening, apologies for the trouble.

Try the new AppWake service - use the menu in the AppWake settings to enable "Experimental" model.
I might have found the cause of some system apps not showing for AppWake. Please let me know if the ones you've been missing are back.

Even more work around working despite aggressive power-saving modes. Also, I've added "Allow Dimming on Idle" for all Wakey modes. (Initial release enabled this by default, which was not the intended behavior. This release returns this to disabled by default, apologies for the mix-up.)
More bug-fixes and improvements for AppWake are coming in the next major release. Please use the "Help" menu to let me know of any issues you see, so I can fix them.
This new version of Wakey is built to work with devices that have more aggressive battery saving modes, including Samsung devices running Android 10. Lots of bugs have also been fixed, but I know there's some that still need to be addressed.
If you run into any issues, please use the "Help" menu to let me know so I can fix them.
Note: Samsung users on Android 10 - a fix is coming soon. If you want to try it out today, opt into the beta.
For other users, this update fixes a problem with AppWake losing your selected apps. Apologies for the problem!

Making AppWake better: improved gear icon click-ability, improved the building of the list of installed apps, and fixed some other related bugs. Please let me know via the help menu if you are seeing issues.
Several fixes for some people who had purchased Premium, but aren't seeing it still. If that's you, please use the "Refresh License" menu item to unlock Premium. Please contact me using the Help item if you still don't see Premium after doing that.

I am trying to resolve some bugs that have been in Wakey for a while. Please let me know if you note any issues.
I've made some minor tweaks to ensure compliance with the GDPR (the EU's new data privacy laws). I THINK it's it all good - I don't record any identifying information, and never have. If you see something that doesn't seem right, let me know via Help in the menu!
I've also tried to fix a couple hangs and crashes that still seem to occur once in a while.
Fix to prevent the notification icon from appearing when Wakey is inactive. A restart may be necessary.
One more bug fix release, hopefully the last. For several users who have previously reported issues with the widget, this has fixed those issues. If you have any issues with the widget, please let me know via Help in the menu.
Apologies for all the recent issues. To make Wakey compliant with background service limits on Oreo, much had to change, including adding notification icons for FaceWake & AppWake. I'm working through the issues, but it's challenging to make such major changes.

Fixed a couple bugs - the biggest was that Wakey automations (AppWake, FaceWake, etc.) wouldn't always work after a reboot. Also some minor efficiency tweaks for AppWake.

Some of you will have seen an update recently that removed AppWake. This new update brings AppWake back, but because of some changes I've been required to make, it might not enable and disable as quickly as before, but otherwise, should work the same as before. Please let me know via "Help" (or send an email to info@kanetik.com) if you have issues or if it's working well for you.
Thanks to those who reported some new issues with Wakey being enabled on Lock Screen - I've made more improvements to fix those issues.I also found that Widget, Quick Settings Tile, and Notification Actions may have been causing the app to hang - those should not do that anymore.Please let me know (via Help in the menu) if you have ANY issues, but especially if you see anything wrong in the specific areas mentioned above.
